Maybelline Master Contour stick.

Hey M’lovelies,

I have never been one for contour and if I was to do it then I would use powder as it has never done me wrong.
However, I was recently in my local Wilko and I spotted that Maybelline had a sale on, which I thought was the perfect time for me to pick up a new item to review for you guys. I settled on their cream contour stick because I had never tried one before and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about

I picked up the shade ’01 light’ which came in the shape of a bullet with the contour on one side and a highlight on the other. Having the two sides is very handy because it keeps your contour looking sharp and clean, but the stick does get very messy as the two products spread across eachother.

The contour shade is the perfect light, ashy, brown tone which perfectly complements my skin. I initially expected it too look quite orange on me but when I blend it out, it looks like very natural shading. The highlight is not a highlight on me (shocker!) but it matches my skin well and still keeps the contour looking sharp but doesn’t brighten

It does take a little bit of work to blend it out with a sponge and is certainly easier to blend with a brush (still takes it time). I found that the contour can end up looking quite patchy if you don’t work fast with the blending but if you do … It’s perfect.

I do like how it looks on the skin but for me it is more effort than it is worth.

I hope you guys have enjoy this post and I shall post again tomorrow xx

  1. Cream products always end up look patchy or muddy on my skin ): I tend to stick with powder. I did have one of these sticks (but from the brand NYX) when I first started getting into makeup and it was such an easy product to learn on but ultimately wasn’t for me. I stick to powders now, just like you! Great review love 😘
