It occurred to me that I haven’t really told you anything about myself and I can’t leave it that way now can I?. That’s why I have decided to give you guys a little life update and hopefully you’ll learn a bit more about me.
So, I recently turned 20 years old,
what the fuck! , I annoyingly spent the first part of my birthday in a lecture but in the evening I went for some food and drinks with my friends Sarah and Dan. I did go home to see my family for the weekend just before my birthday; my wonderful friends took me out for a joint birthday meal with Rhys (an old friend who is also my birthday bud). I received so many great gifts including a gorgeous sliver heart locket of my amazing boyfriend Jack.
As I mentioned on my homepage, I recently moved from Wales to London for university and I can’t say it has been the easiest adjustment in the world. Homesickness has been the bane of my life the last two months but I’ve decided to join table tennis team at my university which will hopefully get me out of my flat a little bit. Leaving my family, friends and animals back in Wales is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do but I know that it will benefit my career.
That being said, I am loving my course and I can already see my writing improving (good news for you guys!). We just finishing up the fiction unit in creative practice and will be moving onto poetry which I am so excited for because poetry has always been a passion of mine and I can’t wait to develop it.
On a lighter note, I am currently reading ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’ by Michelle Magorian. I probably should have read this book a long time ago but I guess it just kind of passed me by but I am loving it so far and can’t wait to finish it.
I recently resumed working on my novel ‘The Soul Of the Boy’ after nearly a year break and I am hoping to have finished by June 2019 at the latest. Now, I can’t say much about it online yet because it is still in the very early stages of the first draft but I am hoping to have it published one day for you guys to read.
I officially start my new job next week as a student ambassador for the uni which is going to be a fun
and well-paid that will hopefully encourage people to come to our uni or in fact … go to uni at all. I’ll be travelling all around London, giving campus tours and even running some activity days.
Finally, I have some blog news for you guys and you may have already guessed it but from today onwards, I will be posting twice a week. Wednesdays and Fridays will be my new upload days but I don’t have specific times as they often change. I do eventually plan on blogging daily but that will only be when there is a few more of you guys.
Thanks for reading, have a great weekend and I’ll see you Wednesday for my next post
